Our 19th century barn and farmhouse offers vintage charm paired with a location that just can’t be matched. Our wedding & event space is located in one of the most beautiful parts of Maine. The town of Warren is a half hour from the ocean, an hour and 15 minutes from Portland and two hours from Bar Harbor.

We’ve worked hard to create a special space that is perfect for your upcoming events – whether it is a formal wedding celebration or a baby shower with family & friends, we would love to partner with you!

The History

The roots of Crawford Farm began in the late 1700’s when General Henry Knox, a compatriot of George Washington, acquired a large tract of land in what would become the town of Warren. Captain Niven Crawford and his wife Jane bought a portion of the land, built the house in the early 1800’s and raised 7 children there. Captain Crawford was a ship captain who kept his ship in Thomaston Harbor. Be sure to look for a picture of Captain Crawford and Jane in the kitchen!

The property stayed in the family through several generations until it was purchased by a dairy farmer in the early 1900’s. The farm then sold milk right up through the 1960’s. Many of the original architectural details of the house can still be seen and the barn remains almost completely original with just a few adjustments to allow the barn to live on with a new purpose.

Crawford Farm combines rustic charm with timeless elegance, offering the perfect setting for your celebration. The spacious barn is ideal for dining and dancing beneath chandeliers and twinkling lights, while the expansive outdoor grounds provide beautiful spaces for photos, lawn games, and a cozy fire pit gathering the night before your wedding.

Every package includes use of the farmhouse for getting ready, featuring four comfortable bedrooms, a bright salon for hair and makeup, and a newly renovated kitchen for light refreshments or a wedding day brunch.

Enjoy ample parking, a dedicated on-site staff, and a groom’s room for final preparations. Weekend packages also include a Friday night stay in our historic 1832 Federal-style farmhouse for the bride and bridesmaids.

Crawford Farm offers our guests a spacious barn to celebrate your wedding, an expansive outdoor area perfect for amazing photographs, lawn games, a cozy fire in the fire pit the night before the wedding, ample parking and a dedicated staff to help with anything you might need. There is also a room for the groom and his attendants to make their final preparations.

A weekend event at Crawford Farm includes a two night stay in our four bedroom, Federal style house. Four comfortable bedrooms, a gorgeous new kitchen for a Sunday brunch, a beautiful salon for the bridal party to have hair and makeup done will make an event at Crawford Farm the perfect venue to make your dreams come to life!

Laurie and Bart are wonderful to work with. They made sure we had all the small details to make our day run smoothly. I asked Laurie if they had an arbor we could use, which they didn’t- so Bart built one for us and now others to use! They are wonderful people and very easy to talk to. The venue is gorgeous, and you have access to the house which has its own salon room for makeup and hair. There are so many photo opportunities inside the house with the antique furniture. This venue was amazing and made our dreams come true for our wedding!

Our family held an event at Crawford Farm, and we were exceptionally pleased with the entire experience. The barn is well-sized and can be set up for many different types of events, and its decor is rustic, simple, and charming. We also found the catered food to be top notch! And while our event didn’t use the house, it’s been beautifully restored and decorated.

I recommend Crawford Farm highly for any event, from a wedding to a casual party!

The Crawford Farm folks generously hosted a fundraiser at their gorgeous venue for the MSSPA. It was *sold out* and SO MUCH FUN! The barn is so beautifully renovated, replete with twinkly lights, and the setting is peaceful and serene. It was a lovely open space where guests could mingle and move about from table to table. And so easy to get to! Right off the road, with plenty of parking. It would be a fun place to host a large gathering or wedding!
